FINISHIATIVE Vs. INITIATIVE
In my professional life I` have` learnt the hard and` expensive` way that we` must have` finishiative` and` not only initiative! Being in the business of writing books, I learnt from a Professor friend of mine when I asked him why he has not written any book. He sheepishly replied that he has 5 to 7 manuscripts in the making! By the time he is almost near the completion of a book something new tempts him to start a new project. This rang a bell in my mind and I decided to learn from his mistake. I won`t say I have overcome this weakness but I still have to struggle to remain at one project at a time. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose, but eventually and professionally I have come ahead to follow the concept of finishiative. Reflect on your pending jobs tonight.
